Moving/repositioning your DMD's
« on: December 06, 2017, 10:10:50 PM »
Ok, you have a DMD table, but the DMD isn't where it should be.

1. Open the table.
2. Drag the DMD to where you want it.
3. To resize the DMD rightclick and choose "Show window border". Stretch and skew as needed.
4. Click the playfield and exit, re-open the table and it should be where you left it. If you need to make an adjustment, repeat step 3.

If your DMD doesn't stay when you re-open the table, you will need to do this:

1. Click the start button in Windows.
2. type regedit, regedit.exe will appear, click it.
3. Your registry will appear. This is where settings are stored. This tells the DMD where it belongs, scale, etc.
4. HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/FREEWARE/Visual PinMame--below Visual PinMame you will see your individual tables. You will not see the tablenames, you are seeing the name of the rom that runs them. The rom name is similar to the gamename, so it's usually an easy find. (Example: Attack From Mars- afm_113).
5. Find the entry for the individual game that the DMD won't stay put on and delete that single entry. Don't delete the whole folder, just afm_113 (example).
6. Close it up and re-open the table. You will have to re-position and stretch it again (Steps 1-4 above), but it will remember now.
