Little Joe, 1971 Bally for VP9
« on: January 13, 2014, 04:54:40 PM »
Two screens...first one is the startup screen and the second is the play ready screen.

Thanks to Itchy and Faralos for pointing out some mistakes I made with the table itself. Hope these new images show that I have fixed those specific problems.

Coming soon....needs some scoring work.

This is an update from VP6 to VP9.

The "ready to play" screenshot.

Targets move and the "up post" and "down post" buttons move. Mushrooms have a snap sound. Top metal has been fixed along with the kicker saucer area has been cleaned up. Rubbers have been tightened up, side metal is separate from the playfield wood. Top section has wire ball guide. Added rollovers on each side of the 500 points and the top white dice area.

Thumper bumpers turn on and off according to the proper white dice acquired. Bottom ball gate stays open for the duration of the ball in play.

So far so good....

A couple more little things, if you don't mind. I think the bumper base is too small proportionately to the bumpercap. I.E. the cap is too big for the base. Get one of my table templates, and steal the bumpers from it. I think you'll be surprised.

Also for the rebound rubber, download Olympics. Borrow from the whole upper area if you want.

Thanks Tim! I couldn't open the vpt file at all. I have VP 9.10 - must be a newer version of VP again. I'm not going to update until they can figure out the mess. No reason 9.10 shouldn't be able to open your Olympics table.

I will look at this and post a picture of how far I've come. Will put it up soon.

You should be able to open it in the editor only. It was made with 9.16 (flipper primatives).

I still have the other plastics to redraw, but I actually got the mushrooms to move up and down with the original decals. Kinda cool. Gonna make the thumper bumpers do the same thing :)

Hope to have this done soon :)

Fixed and redrew the two slingshots. Fixed and redrew the two center plastics. Mushrooms are working and move up and down. Upper return ball gate fixed to look like the real thing.

Much more to do; need to fix and redraw the upper two plastics. Need to fix scoring.

It's coming along.

Thanks. You're welcome. Do folks over there still get mad about that stuff? Just wondering. Walter was the only one who posted to me, so I assume there is STILL bad blood over there? I could be wrong.

Anyway, I made the targets smaller, added posts to the backs of them, will place the front Shocky gave to me at Pinball Nirvana onto the front and have to mess around with the scoring. Not much else is left but a few tweaks here and there.

Yeah, but I'm not sure that that's the reason no one else posted. I'm guessing there are a lot of new members that may not know you too. I don't post over there anyway. I'll read and download, but that's it. Links are still verboten over there, but the way you did it is the way to go.

Who knows. That link stuff is really silly as a rule, but whatever trips his trigger.

Anyway, newest pic. Added holes for the target stems, replaced the mushroom circles at the bottom with black edges. It's coming along. I wonder why I didn't do Skykings this way.

Thanks to Shocky, I replaced the front of the cabinet with a very nice image he provided at Pinball Nirvana.

Still have to fix the upper right gate posts to look proper. Not much else really but that damned scoring.
