I thought SSD's were faster?

I just put an SSD in my cab/desktop. The boot time has only minimally increased. Did I do something wrong? I cloned my original Cdrive (from my old hhd). To test it I unplugged all the other drives except the SSD: 1:20 to login music. Now, with my SSD unpluged and my old sata 7200 rpm, 6/gb/s: 1:30 to login music. So what's going on?

Z-68 dab Gigabyte mb with 16gb ram
I-5 2400k overclocked to 3.7 ghz.

I do have 3 sata hdd's in this (plus the SSD) for a total of 5tb. Does that do anything?

Cloning the drive is not optimal. You have copied all the settings that widows had set with the old drive. Although it might make the necessary adjustments to the new SSD there are still several adjustments needed to be made to the OS. Google optimizing my new SSD and read some results.
 You did not say what OS you are using but 7 loves the SSD while XP is not as happy with one.
 My boot times are 16 seconds to login music and as high as 30 seconds depending on the features I am using from the MB ... i.e. onboard sound, raid controller, onboard video, usb 3.0 controller .... etc
 Your additional drives might add a small amount of time if say your swap file is located on one of them. With an SSD I don't use a swap file anymore.

Ahh, thanks. I didn't know the settings would have that much to do with it. I thought the processes would just be faster by moving to a v-8 from an L-4.

The main reason I cloned vs new install is so I wouldn't have to reinstall all my stuff. This is a working computer- and a cab.

And sorry, I forgot to say 7x64 Ultimate.
