Post by: rockhouse on January 05, 2017, 08:07:53 AM
hi just tried 1962 olympics f/s table plays and looks fantastic
a question the bottom left hand target appears to be missing
only an observation not a criticism or should it be like that?

Probably either a video card or VP version issue. It was made before 9.9 and 9.21.

Sorry, I forgot about this. There was an error in transparencies in the VP program itself. What that means is the transparent color wasn't the correct transparent color. This is what's causing your issue. This bug has been a part of VP up until 9.21. In 9.90 it was correctly fixed, which is what's causing all of the anomalies in using 9.9 for a 9.21 table.

Fix: And this goes for ANY WALL OBJECT. Change the transparent color to silver (128,128,128), and uncheck the "Enable Lighting" box. Save the table. The object will now show up correctly.

Notes: Other objects like ramps you just uncheck Enable Lighting.

This is primarily a problem with objects on the left side of the playfield that are facing right (at any angle). It has to do with the way VP enables lighting which was fixed in 9.9, but is the opposite of the way it was done in 9.21.

I am working on a side project of adding plunger support, uniform layback, and fixing enable lighting on everything in my cab (all 794 tables in "Downloads/Itchy's Cab"). Olympics has been fixed to work with 9.90 now. You can redownload it and apply the fix to your other tables that may have the same issue.
