http://roguepinball.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=567Gold Star was released in July 1954 and was designed by Wayne Neyens with art by Roy Parker.  Only 700 Gold Star games were produced, so it is rare to find one today. Gold Star is an interesting hybrid of new and old design thinking.  It uses Gobble Holes the way Trap Hole games used Trap Holes (the last Trap Hole flipper game, 4-Belles, was also made in 1954).  With a Trap Hole, only one ball can enter a given hole whereas with Gobble Holes, more than one ball can enter the same hole. There are also ways to win that don't involve the Gobble Holes, and those provide their own challenges.
