Title: What's your favorite & least favorite Halloween candy/treats?
Post by: Rukia on October 17, 2013, 03:37:25 PM
While there isn't much difference between Halloween candy and any other candy bars during the rest of the year (besides the size, of course), the question that is being put to you is:  What is your favorite Halloween candy?  Or probably a better way for phrase it is:  What one candy bar did you always hope that your neighbors would put into your Trick-or-Treat bag or pail?   And your least favorite?
Favorite = Milky Way
Least favorite = Black Licorice (Uck!)

my fave is Three Musketeers
my least fave is everybody's...candy corn!
actually I love the stuff but my stomach hates it as I tend to eat way too much of the evil stuff

I really had a thing for Hershey bars ... pure milk chocolate!

But yes, these days, candy corn is WAY too addictive, especially the dark "chocolate" kind. It drives my blood sugar thru the roof ... and makes me want to eat more!

Tootsie Roll was a big deal then, although after ~50 years of abstention I tried some recently and wonder if the EPA changed some things; they just didn't 'hit me' the way they used to.

The crown, however, goes to the M&M/Mars family of products (Milky Way, Mars, Snickers, Three Musketeers and, of course, M&Ms. My least favorite: anything with coconut!.

 There may, however, be a new (actually quite old, but new to me) contender; Mountain Bars by Brown and Haley, the Almond Roca people. http://www.brown-haley.com/pages/mountain-bar-history (http://www.brown-haley.com/pages/mountain-bar-history)
