Trade Winds Williams 1962 FS Direct B2s

http://roguepinball.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=375Trade Winds is the next in my series of recreating for myself the games I loved in High School and College in VP with a focus on making them play as much as possible like the real things. Trade winds was designed by Steve Kordek and released by Williams in June, 1962. 1,250 units were produced.

While Trade Winds was released when I was in High School (and not allowed to play pins) it was also in the first pinball parlor I played in when I went to college.  So after watching this game be played by the "big boys" I could finally play it myself.  It's a tough but fun game and nudging is a real plus. I've worked to make this VP version play as much as possible like I remember the real thing playing, and I'm pretty happy with the result given the challenges of getting good game play in VP. I had to split the scoring reels in the desktop version to make the backglass match the original but it didn't turn out as bad as I feared.  As with all of my games, pressing the "R" key will give you the rules.

Table by PBecker1946, backglass, and FS conversion by Itchigo.

Perfectly fine, but I didn't make the table. PBecker1946 makes the desktop, and gives me an advance copy. Then I take the desktop and mod to FS. Since I upload the FS everyone thinks it's mine but it's really PBecker1946's.

This is a great classic EM table.  I am almost 70 yrs. old and remember clear as day playing this table while on vacation with my parents in the mid 1960's at the Neville resort in the Catskill Mts. in NY.  My father used to give me $1.00/day and I would carefully use it all on playing Trade Winds.  Sadly my parents are both gone now.  Great memories I will never forget.
