Faralos's real Flash pin
Itchigo:
Well, obviously don't take any rivets off. But anything you can remove will help. Even taking rivets off, you can still replace with screws, but there is no need from what I can see. You know pins are like potato chips..... can't eat just one!
faralos:
man after a night of cleaning it now I smell like a combo of bleach, mint, ISO, orange and dirt!
man I forgot how much fun it is to work on pins! The cab sides on a flash suck with artwork
and the original owner of it trashed the right side of it by hand coloring the white star
with what looks like whitout so I have to redo the entire cab design
any ideas? I am art challenged though so anything I do must be done either with PS or gimp2
I was thinking to just enlarge the 'flash' lettering from the bg and put that onto the cab sides
maybe with a blue background but that is still a long way off
for I want it up and running hopefully by this weekend
the light lenses all sit below the pf surface they are worn out so bad
and to get them out is a major pain
so I am thinking maybe a coat of future floor finish
to bring them back up to the pf surface
but other than that it looks functional all contacts are good
the solenoids all LOOK okay but without a test i won't know if they are operative or not
the rubbers for the most part need replacing as most are cracked
same goes for the flipper rubbers but that is a minor detail
it's the electrics I am most worried about and every step I do I'll take pics
so y'all can have a blow by blow of the restoration process
