Cabinet for the Surface Pro 8 & 9
« on: June 28, 2023, 02:33:38 PM »
I like to make mini cabinets for RVers and office workers desks.  I've made quite a few, for various iPads and tablets (and even one for the iPhone) with working flippers, plunger and tilt features.

This is my latest creation - its specifically designed for the Microsoft Surface Pro 8 or 9.  These both have Iris XE graphics which means they can handle dual screens and generally are responsive.  They won't challenge a hi-end desktop build, but the Surface does have a 5k screen, and in this build I've added a 2k backglass screen.

The goal of this was very much to allow you to simply slide your surface pro in to the cabinet and play a few tables, before sliding it out and using it for work etc.    The plunger is a digital plunger, coin in is a push button and start is push button. Everything is mapped to visual pinball default keys so its pretty plug and go.
Anyway, here it is. If you are interested in me making one up for you, please do get in touch!
