I apologize
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:48:49 AM »
I am sorry about the Dazz thread. It was a knee jerk reaction to the situation. I was only intending to put up something to talk about. I have lost a member over this, but hopefully, not a friend. My intention with this place is to have an active community. Whether or not we grow excessively big is not something I'm worried about. I only wish to have an active place. I still retain my position to stay here and not at VPF, but I will not tell you NOT to go there.
Again, sorry.
Tim

It's all good Ichigo. It's respectable that you want to stop it before something worse comes out of it. :)

It was the news of the day, and I was a bit upset over it. I'd much rather have 100 good members, then 50,000 and 2% of them post. Let's face it, there isn't enough going on in the pinball/vp world to have something to say EVERY day. I'm thinking of opening up the General Discussion area more so we can be more "community oriented". Pinball is our common interest, but it's not all we're about.

Yeah, that's true. When discussion is strictly VP related and not much casual talk going on, it gets sort of limited. There used to be a lot of fun casual discussion at VPF, even games, like subzero's movie-pic game, and I think it's that casual BS outside of the main topic that helps make a forum fun and keeps people coming back.

whereas life itself is always changing and is at times far more interesting

I still didn't see/read the related thread, but from the tenor of the posts in this thread I can say I registered here, because I'm on search for a place where we can talk about everythung in life, not only pinball. I'm here to meet people/friends in a pleasant atmosphere.

you ain't missing anything Yogi besides the usual soap opera crap
but it's always something or someone being trashed!
it does stay interesting over there though as you never know from one day to the next
who will be banned or who did a major boo boo!
I just try to keep a low profile and hope that I get passed over
come rock throwing time!

I would phrase my opinion on different incidents without respect, if I would follow and understand all the ... soap opera, but lately and actually I don't follow it. There's nothing to lose. But I agree it can be very interesting to follow anyway.

Don't apologize, it's a sign of weakness.
That, of course, does not pertain to any appologies that you make to your wife, girlfriend, or mother.  Those are okay to do, simply because against those women, you are weak.

Love,
Rukia
