Faralos' flash pin
« on: November 15, 2012, 05:03:11 PM »
I got the back box on and it's running now
it looks real pretty too especially with the lights off!
There's still tons of work to do to it yet but this is a start!

I got it for free from slydog43 who lives about two hours from me
after talking with me he said he had no more room for it since he owns about five others,
so as long as I could get to his house  I could have it for free!
He assured me it all worked before he stripped it down and it does!
the pf is shot to the point of having to remove every lens off the pf
sand them all down,  reglue them back in and fill them back up to the pf surface
he understand I am in dire straights now that I have absolutely no income at all
so he offered it FREE to me as long as I restore it
if I am ever to sell it we will split the profits since I got it for free
 Not too shabby huh?
Now if I can only find a job before I get tossed out for not paying rent!

Nice job Faralos! I knew you weren't doing that well, so I was surprised to hear you got it.

once he mentioned that I could get a flash for free
nothing short of world war three was gonna' keep me from getting it!
the only thing non working is the mid three drop target bank ain't resetting
but that is a minor glitch and one I hope to fix by nightfall!
other than the entire pf being trashed everything works as it should!
even the coin mechs work! and that back glass is in perfect condition!

Poor beasty! Reminds me of that "Special When Lit" video with all those poor pinball tables rotting out in the open field somewhere, exposed to the elements!

Well, at least this one has a chance! Cain't wait to see it come back to life! You'll have to make a vid then!

just a cleaning update!
yes that is what looks to be either varnish or lacquer all over the flippers
the dick who owned it before slydog43 decided to glue them on
so now I gotta' get all that residue off (idiocy ruled for this move!)
the pops are slightly rusted but only on their insides
so it won't affect game play if I leave them alone
the Play field itself is cleaning up rather nicely using ISO with either a green scrubbie sponge
or a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser and ISO
