Thanks itch! For those of you who haven't been to the VPU chat in a while haven't heard the news....... For the first time ever in my life, and most likely for the first time ever in the local pinball league I'm part of, I did something that possibly no one else has ever done...... It took me almost 3 sessions (10 weeks each, once during the spring and once during the fall) to get to this milestone, but I've done it. I've officially won
ALL 5 GAMES I PLAYED on April 9th, 2013!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know how I did it, or why it happened, but MAN, what an adrenaline rush! (No steroids were used to bring me to this milestone) I have spread the word of my win on Facebook, and I have spread the word of my huge win to my friends who live throughout the Champaign Urbana area. I want to be sure that all of you are included. You guys are great friends to have, and I want you to see my 3rd season as a pinball league participant come to an end with a huge BANG! If I do win all of my games in the final normal round of play this Tuesday, you'll certainly be the first to know about it!!!!!!! I am looking forward to ending this season with a bang, and you are all here to hear what happened! I have no intention of letting you down, but I can say this: For sportsmanship's sake, I intend to have as much fun as possible. MAY THE BEST PINBALL PLAYER OF CENTRAL ILLINOIS WIN!!!!!!!

In less than 24 hours from now, I will be going for what will most likely be my first double victory..... Of course, a lot of people already know about my huge victory last Tuesday, but I need to back that victory up with yet another one. Of course, there will be a lot of sportsmanship involved. There is an old saying someone told me a long time ago (and this was the motto of the Special Olympics, which I had participated in for years): "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." I have every intention of achieving victory, but I can say for sure that if I do win at least one game tomorrow, justice will have been served for me. I am very happy to have you guys supporting me throughout this huge adventure. I don't know when the final tournament will take place, but I will give you the details, and not only that, I'll also give you an idea of what I could possibly win...... TO THE PINBALL CAVE I GO!!!!!

Well, I hate to disappoint you guys, but I lost all but one game tonight. No matter..... I think I did great this season, and there might be a chance that I'll get my first ever 1st round BYE, and for me, IF this is absolutely 100% true, then I won't have to play against anyone in division B during the first round of the final tournament. The date for that has yet to be determined and announced. I had a lot of fun this season, and that is the most important thing in any kind of tournament. Of course, the BIGGEST highlight of the entire season was winning all 5 games I played last week. I wanted to win at least one game tonight, and that's exactly what happened. So what if I didn't get a back to back victory... Just getting one near the end of the season was quite satisfying. I'm extremely proud of doing that and I couldn't have done any better if I tried, and I did, and that's all I could do. For a brave warrior like me , winning all 5 games last week is nothing short of incredible. I couldn't get through another season without you guys, so thanks to you all for cheering me on.... and now, I can finally rest after a hard fought 10 week battle (until the final tournament). For that 5 game win, I hereby promote myself to "Klingon Warrior". Once again, thanks to each and every one of you for cheering me on.

Now that I've got the spring season of the pinball league taken care of, I can relax for a while before the final tournament. Again, the date for this final tournament has yet to be decided. Also, there might be one or two free play sessions at my friend Mark's house (which will be possibly before April 30th, and this is probably most likely going to be the date of the final tournament). Some of you already know about the "master plan" I have designed for the final tournament. I'll go into the details of my master plan, if the league is invited for free play anytime before the final tournament date arrives. I may have breaking news about my overall ranking. I am probably going to be locked in as either 1st or 2nd place in division B, and if I am told that I am indeed in first place after the final ranking is posted
here
, then this means that I have a huge advantage going into the final tournament, because it'll be my first ever BYE I've earned since I joined the league. This means that I won't have to play anybody in my division during the first round. Anyways, if I have any breaking news to give out, it'll be RIGHT HERE on ROGUE PINBALL! Ta Ta for now!

it's great to see one of us actually going public with his pin expertise
even if you lost! I could not ever do that as my reflexes suck at best
a ten year old can usually whip me on a pin
hence my love of building them and not playing them!
good luck in any other tourneys you may enter
and I hope to see you get better than 'Klingon Beck'
maybe a Brigadier or Commander would suit you as a better title?

I think I'll keep my current rank for the time being. I don't want to do any self promoting until I know for sure that I have my first ever first round BYE. Only the top 4 people in both divisions will win their first round bye.

Whoah! I've just been informed by the Illini Pinball Association website that I am indeed one of the lucky people in division B, and as you know, in my previous post, I did say the top 4 people in both division A & B do get a first round BYE, so now I can officially promote myself in Klingon Ranking to, say, maybe Klingon Brigadier! I'm proud!

OK Guys! I had a strong beginning once it was my turn to start my quest for my first trophy! I defeated my first opponent easily! The next few opponents went down, and then I had to play against a friend of mine named Derek. I lost twice to him, so that was my first loss of the evening. Then it came to the point where I had to beat a nice girl named Molly in 2 sets of 2 games each! I beat her in the first set (and at this point in time, we both were playing for 1st and second place in division B), and then she won the other 2 games! So she won $50, a first place trophy, a prize of her choice, and a spot in the A division next season. I won $30, and a 2nd place trophy. I could've taken a pinball related prize of my choice home, but I gladly declined because I won something that I had tried 2 times before to win, and that was a trophy, and speaking of that, here's a photo of the trophy I had won just a little over 24 hours ago!
BTW, I took the photo with my tablet's front facing camera. Sorry if it's a little blurry!
